X-Men Featured in Carl’s Jr Commercials

Fun fact: The X-Men love to eat at Carl’s Jr. LOL, here’s a roundup of commercials featuring superheroes stuffing their face with fast food.

While these types of promotions are nothing new to Hollywood marketing, nevertheless these strike me as over the top. Especially the Quicksilver commercial. I mean, this is his first appearance. I’d think his introduction would be treated a little more important. First impressions, and all.

Who’s ready for lunch?

Improv Everywhere’s Mannequin Mayhem

Fresh on the heels of yesterday’s Gap Mannequin story, here’s yet another Gap Mannequin adventure from Improv Everywhere. A flash mob took over a Gap in Manhattan, and everyone was dressed in a white bodysuit to match their mannequins.

Surprisingly, Gap management called the police! Many of the performers ended up in handcuffs before it could be sorted out. Somehow, the 911 call about a flash mob was interpreted as “robbery” by police. Oh my, that’s not good.

The manager of the store was not happy about the situation, and there was some talk of lifetime bans from the Gap for the participants, but ultimately she decided against it. After the cops fully understood what had taken place, they started un-cuffing participants and letting them leave.

Sounds like Gap needs to get a sense of humor!

Funny Fashionable ‘Gap Mannequin Project’

Mannequins are meant to inspire fashion, but Steve Venegas has taken it to the extreme. He’s been entertaining the world on Tumblr by going to the Gap and dressing up like their mannequins. Ha, too funny! I wonder what gave him this idea.

I’ve posted a few photos below, but head on over to gapmannequinproject to view them all.

I try on clothes and have my photo taken because it’s fun. I also have a podcast

Wonder Woman’s Bullets and Bracelets

Here’s a fun clip from the 1970’s Wonder Woman TV show. Our favorite Amazon princess disguises herself to compete in the famous “Bullets and Bracelets” competition. This is where she wins her iconic costume. Very cool.

It ties in nicely with the recent news from WB– Zach Snyder will direct a Justice League movie, which will follow 2016’s Batman vs Superman. And while the studio is reportedly willing to make a stand-alone Wonder Woman movie with actress Gal Gadot, they’re still waiting for “the right script.”

UPDATE: Woah, the Hollywood Reporter says the two movies will be shot back to back?! And we could get Justice League as soon as 2017.

Ellen Appears on Game of Thrones

Did you know Ellen appeared on Game of Thrones? She wore a beautiful costume, and performed standup for King Joffrey and the Lanister court. Ha, this is cleverly done.

The jokes are pretty good, too, though it certainly helps if you watch the show.
