Here’s one way to sell electronics. This video is pretty weird… it’s a superhero video, with a laugh track, that’s actually a commercial for a microphone. Huh? This was made by the funny guys of Australia’s FactorySound audio company. Lol, I’m not sure what to think.
If you’re looking for specific information on Shure Super 55, this clip won’t help – but it’s our chance to let off some steam and have a play with the gear we love. Super 55 really is a true superhero of microphones.
Ooh, check this absolutely amazing cosplay of Batman and Robin. This is fantastic! That boy makes a super adorable Damian Wayne Robin. And Batman’s costume? Quite stunning. Both costumes are just perfect.
These photos were just barely posted by Teri Christine, aka ComicChic19, taken at the recent Megacon. She’s a cosplayer from Florida with her own collection of awesome costumes, such as this classic Batgirl. I will definitely post more of her work in the future.
In Memory of Damian Wayne Robin. My son and a amazing costumer friend of mine did a Batman & Son quick photo shoot at Megacon. And it’s Amazing!!
The IRS made a Star Trek training video? Hard to believe unless you see it with your own eyes. It’s a fairly elaborate set with decent costumes. The Enterprise crew travels to the planet Notax, which has fallen to anarchy. Lol, so crazy!
Not surprisingly, the IRS got scolded by Congress for spending almost $60,000 on the video and wasting tax dollars. The IRS has since apologized for their mistake.
“The IRS recognizes and takes seriously our obligation to be good stewards of government resources and taxpayer dollars,” the agency said in a statement. “There is no mistaking that this video did not reflect the best stewardship of resources.”
Kate Funk has been making custom cat calendars for years, but she could only afford to print small runs that sold out quickly. So she turned to Kickstarter to help raise money to cover the costs. Her goal was to raise $3,500, but so far the project has raised over $17,000! They were hoping to print 20,000 copies of the 2014 calendar, and it looks like they can print much more than that.
The theme for 2014 is “Magical Creatures,” and she dresses up her cat AC in 12 exciting costumes. Looks great! Head on over to Kickstarter if you want to join in the fun and claim your calendar.
There’s more than one way to spend spring break. This guy took advantage of the remaining winter to build a giant snow Jabba the Hutt! It was only logical to put on a Slave Leia costume and pose for a classic photo. Ha, too funny. Well done, Sir!
Check this out, Star Wars fans… an early Darth Vader concept costume from 1975! Joe Johnston is actually wearing the costume, standing next to Jim Henson. Before directing the likes of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, and Captain America: First Avenger, Joe Johnston worked as an effects technician and concept artist on the original Star Wars films.
It’s neat to see how Vader’s final costume evolved from this early version. Principal photography on Star Wars began in 1976, so this photo was taken a year before they started filming. Very cool!
