Child Activist Makes Anti-Bullying Costume

This costume is no joke. For Halloween this year, 13-year-old Junior Wallace chose to fight bullying with his costume. He actually dressed as a bullied victim. He wore a ball and chain to represent the weight that victims feel. On the front of his shirt he listed bullying statistics, and on the back he wrote the names of children who have committed suicide due to bullying.

How sad and powerful. It’s definitely not your typical costume worn by 13-year-olds. It’s great that he’s raising awareness and helping to make the world a better place.

“I thought someone needed to say something,” Junior said, shrugging. “I think people just need to stop. It’s a serious matter. Knock it off.”
