Knitted Fashion from the Early ’70s

Are we living in the wrong decade? I see these handsome gentlemen with their stylish knitted fashion, and I want to travel back in time.

These images are from Jordan Smith’s Flickr gallery, scanned from The Workbasket magazine published in the early 1970s.

I recently purchased more than 100 hundred issues of The Workbasket, a knitting and crocheting magazine, from the local Salvation Army for $1.99. Most of the every single issue features instructions, patterns and various other “Home Arts” projects. However, there are a photo photos sprinkling the pages with wonderful knitted fashion photos.
