On Vacation!

I’m taking a few days off for a short vacation. No posts for a couple of days, but I’ll be back next week for more costume fun. Have a great weekend!

The Costumes of ‘Unstoppable Gorg’ Video Game

I received a really cool email from Jani Joki of FutureMark Games Studio. They’ve just launched a new video game called Unstoppable Gorg, a tower defense game available on many platforms.

The game has a strong 1950’s Sci-Fi “B Movie” theme, and they’ve done a great with the costumes used for promotions and the cut scenes that play throughout the game.

I love it! Do check out their Production Blog for more behind the scenes photos, and you can visit the Official Site to purchase the game. Looks fun, great job!

Relaxing in a Carrot Costume

When it’s time to relax, there’s nothing better than a good cigar, a glass of wine and slipping into your top notch carrot costume. For added comfort, black tights are a must.

This guy is king of the world, and he knows it. I salute you, Sir.

Periwig Made from Toilet Paper Rolls

Here’s a great way to make use of your empty toilet paper rolls: Make a periwig! Now you can look like a Colonial gentleman or British judge. All you need to do is… well, eat a lot, I guess. You need to leave a little paper on the roll, for that pristine white look. Very classy! 🙂

This idea belongs to Finns Mari Savio and Kati Rapia, and was featured in the Australian online magazine Papier Mache.

Shark Attack Couples Costumes

Chew on this couples costumes idea… Shark Attack costumes! One person dresses up as a toothy shark, and the other is an eaten sailor. Awesome!

The sailor costume can also be worn to zombie parties, so you can double your costume pleasure. Well done!

Awesome Costume: Incredible Hulk Dog

He’s green, he’s mean, and he’s got torn jeans — it’s the best Incredible Hulk dog costume I’ve ever seen! LOL, what a great costume.

I think this could make for a great web series. Use a small pug for the Bruce Banner scenes, and whenever he sees a cat or squirrel… he Hulks out. That would be awesome!

How to Put on a Costume

When it’s time to cosplay, there’s really only one way to put on your costume — as demonstrated by this guy. Your friend waiting in the car needs to sing along, too.

It’s the only way. 🙂
