Woman Woman Costume and News

Wonder Woman is getting a lot of attention today, with NBC announcing that Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights) will play Diana Prince in the new Wonder Woman TV adaption.

David E. Kelley is creating the pilot, and while I hope it’s good, I do have my doubts that the show will do justice to the mighty Amazon. Guess we’ll see!

Anyway, this is a great time to show off this awesome Wonder Woman costume, made by Courtney Coombs. You may recall her awesome Harley Quinn Bikini which was posted a couple weeks ago.

This is one of the girliest costumes I have made, next to Dr.Girlfriend and I think I prefer wearing costumes like this. Hair and makeup is fun!

I made the corset and grieves out of leather my mum bought for me to make a jacket for her but it turned out to be too thick even after treating it. The white strips are made of suade-backed vinyl with silver star buttons sewn on.
Brooches are made out of sculpy. Gauntlets made of sculpy. The skirt and cape were made out of some cheap cotton fabric, but I was going for some historical accuracy so other than muslin or raw silk, cotton was the most common thing in ancient Greece.

Great job with this costume, Courtney. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next. Didn’t you say a Venom costume is on the way? Yes, please.
