Incredibly Fun “A Very Model Halloween”

If there’s one Halloween video to watch this year, I’d say this is probaby it. Utterly amazing, this guy goes through 60 costumes while singing a parody of Gilbert and Sullivan’s classic, The Major-General’s song.

This is so awesome!

Way to go Shyaporn, you’ve outdone yourself this time.

Happy Halloween, Everyone!

I’ll confess… only a few of these costumes are actually sexy to me, but I suppose robots would disagree?

If you want to join the contest, you have until Oct. 31. You’ll need a Facebook account, and an awesome robot costume!

Homemade Kids Robocop Costume

kids-robocop-costume-1

An awesome father made his son a very cool Robocop costume out of every day materials found in his basement. They did a nice cosplay shoot, and it looks like a few policeman were happy to pose with the kid.

What a lucky kid, and a fantastic costume!

The helmet is an old bike helmet that didn’t really fit him anymore, so I ripped out all the padding inside and glued on a piece of plastic I cut out from an old bucket to make the front visor part. The circles on the sides were orange-juice-container lids. The chest piece is made out of an empty laundry-detergent bottle and the back is made from milk jugs. The arms and legs are cobbled together out of 64-oz Trader Joe juice containers. I made the boots by gluing a bunch of plastic crap to his old rain boots. Then I painted everything metallic gray.

How to Make Awesome Hobbit Feet

hobbit-feet-1

Super craft master enchantedwhimsies made these awesome hobbit feet for her son, and she put together a nice tutorial to show you how to make them!

Here is what I started with. They are are called Funny Slipper Feet and I got them online for about $10 then cut them up, painted them, attached to Van-style slip on sneakers & wigged them.

This actually seems fairly simple, though it takes someone with skill to paint them as well as she has. These are awesome hairy hobbit feet, very well done!

LOL, good ol’ Conan O’Brien. Here’s a short video of him discussing his Halloween costume — he’s dressing up as himself! Very nice.

His new talk show is about to start on TBS, and I hope it does well. Happy Halloween, Conan!

Thanks to Ubercat for the tip!

Original Darth Vader Costume for Sale

original-vader-costume-1

Here’s some big costume news… An original Darth Vader costume is for sale! This is the costume used in Empire Strikes Back.

Christie’s Auction House in London has announced the sale, set for Nov. 25th.

The jet-black helmet, mask and armor worn by the intergalactic villain are expected to sell for between 160,000 pounds and 230,000 pounds ($250,000 and $365,000) at a sale of pop culture memorabilia next month.

Christie’s did not name the owner, identified only as an American private collector.

$250-$350 thousand? That’s a lot of money, but I expected a price at least in the million dollar range. I’m sure there are plenty of wealthy Star Wars fans who’d love to have this!

Antoine Dodsen Dog Costume

Aww, look at this cute Boxer wearing the Antoine Dodsen “Bed Intruder” costume. I posted about that last week, and its fun to see this silly costume on a dog.

I saw this on Jezebel.com — I laughed at their title, “Hide your Shoes, Hide your Homework.” Haha, that’s great!
