Nice Codex costume! This cosplayer was spotted at the recent Fan Expo in Toronto. She did a great job.
Here’s a photo of Felicia Day as Codex, for comparison.
If you missed the big debut of “Date My Avatar” last week, I’ve posted it below. But first, check out the exciting reaction from fans at Comic Con, who got to see the video before anyone else. This would have been such a fun panel to attend!
A group of classical musicians dress up in animal costumes to get kids interested in music. ‘Zoorasian Brass’ perform to enthralled young crowds in zoos and concert halls. The musicians refuse to be seen without their masks in order to protect the ‘magic’ of their identities.
This is really cool! Costumes make everything more fun and exciting.
Wow, such crazy news! The New York Times has reported that Disney has acquired Marvel Entertainment for 4 billion dollars.
Walt Disney Company said Monday it has agreed to buy Marvel Entertainment, the company that owns the rights to such popular characters as Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four, in a cash and stock deal it valued at $4 billion. The deal, which boards of directors at both companies have approved, comes more than 10 years after Marvel was at the center of a bitter takeover battle between two feisty financiers.
“We believe that adding Marvel to Disney’s unique portfolio of brands provides significant opportunities for long-term growth and value creation,” Robert Iger, Disney’s chief executive, said in a statement announcing the deal.
“Disney is the perfect home for Marvel’s fantastic library of characters given its proven ability to expand content creation and licensing businesses,” said Ike Perlmutter, Marvel’s chief executive officer. “This is an unparalleled opportunity for Marvel to build upon its vibrant brand and character properties by accessing Disney’s tremendous global organization and infrastructure around the world.”
This is such huge news! I admit my first thought was “Oh no, I hope they don’t screw it up.”
I’m also wondering what Disney is going to do about their competitor, Universal Studios, having Marvel Superhero Island located in Orlando.
I’m sure Disney will build some kind of Superhero World at Disneyworld, now. Kids will surely love that! And think of the crossover potential in comics and movies. I think Super Goofy is ready for a little action.
So, the other day I left the house knowing something wasn’t quite right. I felt naked, somehow. It wasn’t until I arrived at work that I realized I’d forgotten my Handerpants.
These underpants for your hands offer protection from chaffing and keep your hands toasty warm. Handerpants are made from 95% cotton and 5% spandex, offering the same comfort of men’s briefs (not that I would know, but that’s the word on the streets) and fit most adult hands. The cost per pair is $11.95.
No doubt these “Handies” will draw attention and cause a fair amount of consternation from those who believe briefs should actually be worn under clothes. Which is exactly why I own a pair. And…why I will be giving a few pairs away for Birthday and Christmas gifts to unsuspecting family members (bet you’re glad we’re not related).
