Have you heard of Squirtman? He’s a superhero from Columbus, Ohio. His weapon of choice is a special squirt gun that can shrink villains (so they’re easy to beat up), and his primary nemesis is Umbrella Man. He also boasts an awesome Squirtman theme song, written and recorded by his father, SquirtDad.
His website is pretty insane (in a good way!): www.squirtman.com. He has tons of photos and video of his superhero shenanigans. For years he appeared on public access television in Columbus, performing stunts and crazy antics, until the the channel unfortunately went off the air.
Garments in Pollitt’s favoured washed and treated leathers, silk georgettes and jersey fabrics had intricate panels and zippers in homage to the “second skin” space suits worn by characters in the film.
“The suits were a second skin to protect them from the elements,” Pollitt said. “They felt like extensions of their muscles and ribcages and I’ve applied those ideas to modern garments without making them too costumey.”
Pretty cool and strange. But what does Pollitt mean by “without making them too costumey” ?? Someone needs to tell him that they are, in fact, costumey.
We’ve written about the World Superhero Registry before, but CNN brings a fresh look at the Cinncinatti-based “Allegiance of Heroes” group. And while they may look funny walking the streets in their superhero costumes, they’re serious about helping the police fight crime.
These guys are quite the vigilantes, carrying handcuffs and tasers. It’s perfectly legal to make a Citizen’s Arrest in Ohio, but they could totally get sued if they “arrest” someone who turns out to be innocent. Interesting stuff!
This video is awesome! A group of high school students pull a prank with Ghostbuster costumes! They disrupt classes by chasing ghosts down the aisles. LOL, thankfully they recorded the whole thing on video!
Ah, high school pranks. It IS that time of year. And of all the pranks I’ve seen (or been a part of), this is definitely one of the better ones.

A Firefly Archive has been recently put online. Very, very cool! It includes actual props and costumes that were used in the filming of the 2002 TV series, Firefly.
The owner of the site is a rabid collector and it’s really nice that he put his collection online for fans. He has Mal’s original browncoat, along with lots of weapons and set props – many are actual antiques from the early 1900’s.
