There isn’t much out there that’s capable of scaring the pants off a superhero, except for kryptonite or…a Freightliner Truck.
These amazing pictures are part of an advertising campaign created by an advertising agency in Nicaragua (BBDO) to convey the idea that Freightliner Trucks, “power in motion,” are brawny enough to instill fear in the strongest of heroes with super human abilities.
The expression of intimidation on the faces of these formidable heroes is like Master Card…priceless.
I’m not quite sure what to think about Lucia Lorio’s Brazilian “Find Me If You Can” lingerie. The sexy underwear comes included with a GPS tracker. Okay… I guess that could be fun for a game of hide and seek?
Frankly, it looks bulky and uncomfortable. I guess I’m leaning towards the “it’s a stupid idea” camp. I mean, come on, the thing looks as big as a cell phone. Just because you can attach GPS devices to anything these days, doesn’t mean you should!
This is just too cool. Some guy took the original text of Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice and added zombie scenes to the story!
The blurb on Amazon reads, “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies features the original text of Jane Austen’s beloved novel with all-new scenes of bone crunching zombie action.”
How funny! The book will be available for sale in May, 2009.
In other Zombie news, hackers in Austin, Texas had fun changing road signs to warn of Zombies in the area! Morning commuters got a good laugh while driving to work. You can watch the video below.
“Even though this may seem amusing to a lot of people, this is really serious, and it is a crime,” said Austin Public Works spokesperson Sara Hartley. “And you can be indicted for it, and we want to make sure our traffic on the roadways stays safe.” [via KXAN.com]
Apparantly, by breaking the padlock and hacking the sign’s mini-computer, the pranksters committed a Class C misdemeanor. But it looks like they have gotten away with it and no arrests have been made. What a funny thing to do – I love it!
This fan-made Thundercats trailer is the coolest thing ever. Someone took clips from old movies and made an awesome trailer for a Thundercats movie that I really want to see! The creator took painstaking care to add CGI Thundercats costumes to the characters, frame by frame. I wonder how long this took to make?
Thundercats was an extremely popular cartoon in the 1980’s. The story is about a group of humanoid cats who fight evil after their homeworld is destroyed.
• Brad Pitt as Lion-O
• Vin Diesel as Panthro
• Gigi Edgley as Cheetara
• Hugh Jackman as Tygra
• Garfield as Snarf
This trailer uses clips from Troy, Spy Kids, Farscape, Chronicles of Riddick, X-men, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Blade Runner and Garfield. Wow, great job!
Does anyone out there remember the famous volleyball scene from the 1986 movie Top Gun? It was quite popular with the ladies, including myself.
Have you ever wondered what that scene would be like if, instead of hot, sweaty guys, the players were substituted with Marvel superheroes? No, neither have I. But I did find this rather humorous Top Gun parody at Bam Kapow, and had a good chuckle!
