Icons of Costume Exhibit

by manny

The Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, PA just opened their fabulous Icons of Costume exhibit. Pulled fromthe collections of top Hollywood Costume designers, it features movie costumes from the 1940’s to the 1990’s.

The display with run through September. Very cool!

Costumes in the collection were featured in such noteworthy films as “Gone With the Wind,” “The Honeymooners,” “Doctor Doolittle,” “Shanghai Express,” “Reds” and “Terminator 2: Judgment Day.” Ten of the costumes are from movies that received Oscar nominations for Best Costume Design, and five of those costumes (those from “Cleopatra,” “Giant,” “Barry Lyndon,” “The Adventures of Don Juan” and “An American in Paris”) landed their designers the award.
