Darth Vader and his Stormtroopers Donate Blood

Darth Vader and his Stormtroopers, along with Boba Fett, recently donated blood at the Robina Blood Donor Centre in Queensland, Australia. Hmm, maybe the dark side isn’t so bad, after all.

These guys are all members of the 501st Legion, the only costuming group officially sanctioned by George Lucas.

Adam Lochowicz and 10 other members of the 501st legion – a global Star Wars costuming group – visited the Robina Blood Donor Centre last weekend.

“To join, members must have a movie accurate costume or suit of armour,” he said. “There are strict guidelines where we can’t act inappropriately or we will be forced to leave the garrison. We mostly visit kids who are sick and raise money for charity.”

Don’t you just love the 501st? With their superior costumes and acts of charity, these guys are the best of the best. Well done!
