Costumes Can Go Too Far – Elf Ears Surgery!?

by collin

Do you think you could ever be fanatical enough to actually permanently wear a costume. I mean, change the way you look “surgically” to have a costume? Well, I didn’t think it would ever go as far as this new form of plastic surgery.

Apparently if you really like the “elf” look, you can have your ears surgically changed to have points infused in them. Perfect for Renaissance Faires, Cosplays, D&D Meetings, or anything else fantasy-esque. According to site Massively.com, the page is almost “certainly” a fake. You could have had me fooled. I can see the fanatics lining up now for a chance to be a part of this one. It’s a bit over the top in my opinion, but who ever said that mattered.

How much would you take to get this done to yourself?

uh ive thought about it many times actually
but just that much of a point

    :p

  3. poppy Says:

you can tell its fake cos her hair is exactly the same and so is her makeup. if you look closely at the jair jus behind her ear there is a white line and it is in both pictures and the bumps on the top of her head are the same…

ud hav to be totally mad to do something like that to yourself…

  4. BurMarie Says:

You can also see a color difference, slight as it is, in the second picture from where they spliced a smiling face to the modified ears part of the shot. All that aside, with the surgery that is possible today, there is no reason why a person could not actually have this done to themselves… look at the cat guy… This is nothing compared to what he has changed….

  5. erby Says:

how can i change my ears ?

  6. clairce Says:

its fake – you can tell because her hair has bearly changed between shots. If it were real surgery how could her hair be redone afterwards and still look untouched?

  7. casketdreamer Says:

It can be done. I’ve had it done. If you would like to see real pictures of this procedure go to myspace.com/casketdreamer

  8. shakeitup Says:

  9. Lili Says:

  10. kyu kyu Says:

who..cares if that particular photo is fake, the procedure is easily doable with modern cosmetics and medicine > >

  11. mithrilwombat Says:

Real surgeries would have potential for serious screwups. Those are probably from Woochie or some other costuming company.

  12. bek Says:

REAL ELF EARS (Do not look if you are extremely squeamish, contains stitches)

  14. matt Says:

  15. Ian Says:

WOW thats pretty cool I mite consider that 1 day

  16. Camila Says:

Interessante o artigo, mas da próxima vez não use o tradutor.

  17. karkas9 Says:

it looks very good. not over top at all. ds z what plastic surgery should be used for, for making impossibly beautiful thing possible, not for making a fat 60 year old look like a plasticy 17 year old.

  18. someone Says:

FAKE!!! but i still looks cool

  19. S3xta_Espada Says:

This stuff is real and it also slightly improves your hearing ability.
I’m considering it but I’m going to give some more thought first.
Say whatever you want, but if you just go and google, you’ll see enough proof and pics of people who
    did it.

  20. Liana Melinde Says:

    Credo …
Faz impressao essa orelha nova de duende : S
E se quiser colocala normal não pode.
    X.X

  21. Cesar Darwen Says:

Essas Orelhas são tão verdadeiras quanto as minhas modificadas no photoshop!
    @_@’

  22. not fake ears Says:

these ears are not fake. look ate her pony.

  23. Pipamonium Says:

People think I’ve had the surgery done because I have pointed ears. Not THAT pointed but there is an obvious point to them. But it’s NATURAL! *headdesk* My poor daughter has one pointed ear and one regular one.

  24. Alyssa Says:

This is obviously not fake or photoshopped. Look at her necklace, they’re different in each picture! Besides, I have a friend who had her ears ’sculpted’, and they’re pretty cool. She loves them, and I’m considering now to get my ears done myself…

  25. ashley Says:

i dont think it’s fake because i saw photos of the surgery and i do like it but i dont want it by myself.

  26. alarius Says:

I recon u gotta either seriously wanna be an elf to the point u’d actually have sergery or ur just completly out there o.o either way i recon some people would suit the look me myself would not go throigh surgery to change anything i have peircing and tattoos but i’d be too scared to go through surgery to change something even just to look slimmer o.o

  27. fairyelf Says:

if the ears are fake how did they do that!? please tell me. i have always wanted pointed ears!

  28. malin Says:

This is fake, i have done my ears elf like in photoshop MANY times and the person who did this has draged her ear out så it looks longer, when u do a plastig surgery they cut in the middle and make a v sign upsiddown so u get that toppy ear.. i know my photoshop and i know surgery.. were did they get all that ear irl ? It would be slightly shorter instead..
